BOOKLIFE REVIEW
Unique, Immense in scope. This mystery is both complex and satisfying in its conclusion.
With Hunting Tobias, Michael Putegnat and Wayne Moore have crafted a compelling story that is historical, suspenseful, and mysterious. Vivid and engaging, it illustrates William Faulkner’s dictum that the past is not dead, nor is it even past. Don’t pass up this memorable novel.

BIO

Please write to me. I'd like to read what you think of my novels.
I grew up on the border in far south Texas in the 1950's and 60's and have long been a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Patrick O'Brien, Charles Dickens, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austen, and Agatha Christie. I particularly enjoy writing about ordinary people who do extraordinary things.
While it has been a life-long ambition, I wrote my first novel, LAGUNA, in 2005, and did not begin to write full time until 2016. I'm interested in history and use actual events as a setting for my stories. Readers likely recognize the Sherlock Holmes style of clues building to a climax, rich Dickensian characters, Austen's love of complications, and the surprise twist endings enjoyed by Christie fans.
I chose the novel as my preferred medium for an exploration of these themes, partly because it provides greater subtlety and texture to the complexity humans bring to everything they do. I love movies and write in a cinematic style, where chapters are scenes, vivid and immersive. Readers often call my novels "page turners" that they "can't put down." My favorite kind too.
